The primary ingredient of dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid, (a substance that occurs naturally in healthy skin) and they are used to plump out or fill in the lines and wrinkles caused by the ageing process.
The two main dermal fillers we use are BELOTERO BALANCE® and Juvéderm® Ultra which contains local anaesthetic this makes the treatment more comfortable. The treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid directly into the skin to fill the lip, wrinkle or fold. Once in the skin, it creates volume, resulting in a healthy and natural appearance.
Results are evident immediately. The skin is smoother, youthful and in many cases the lines are literally ‘erased’.Minimal swelling and reddening may appear but this should fade quite quickly and it is temporary.
The product lasts in the skin for 6 to 12 months before being naturally dissolved therefore lines and wrinkles require maintenance or repeat treatment.
